That's not necessarily true. There are no periodic timing behaviors
specified, and in fact CTP's implementation has Trickle-like timers
that  scale the beaconing down to really long intervals. So, if your
network is not sending much data, the beaconing will be very
infrequent. It is not precluding smart sleep scheduling (which we did
not do).
