The problem you basically run into is that T2 has replaced/fixed some
interfaces that were inherently broken in T1. So how do you be
backwards compatible?
Functionally, really nothing is that different. It's not like porting
Linux code to windows or something. It's just the function arguments
are slightly different, etc. If anything, porting the code is going
to *reveal* bugs that existed in the T1 version.
