If you haven't already read the devel thread on the new msg structure,
you should take a look at that, especially if you are in the DT. We
want to focus on how the interface will impact network protocols and
potentially their performance.

I would say Steve should look at the new message abstractions and
implementation in the context of blip and possible future ROLL
protocols. Rest can look at their proposed protocols or what they have
already implemented. Please send your thoughts when you get a chance.
