Phil on the call today said we'd use Java 1.5. I note, not completely in passing, that it's actually easier to get java 1.6 on current linux distributions (Fedora 9 and Ubuntu at least), as it comes as a standard package (presumably because Sun open-sourced Java 1.6) - should we use that instead?
