A package? I would much rather see the platform live in the CVS
repositry somewhere.

We are using a combination of sdcc and Keil - IMHO sdcc has some
problems and isn't very mature.

Bundle with Cygwin? I'm sure I se why? Personally I don't use Cygwin, so
I'm inclined to say no.
