Dear all,
I had a meeting with two legal representants from U.Copenhagen today.
They focused on two issues:
1) The implications for the university when employees or students become
members.
They asked about the member enrollment procedure and how it would involve
the university.
I believe that this is an open issue.
2) As far as IP rights are concerned, they do not have problems with the
IETF model.
Their focus was on the scope of IP contributions and on the ownership of IP
developed
in a working group. So no barrier there.
They also decided to take a look at the wording of the licenses. I am now
completely
convinced by David's argument: It will not be possible to get everybody to
agree on the
wording of a unique license.
Best regards,
Philippe.
