Interesting, a TinyOS benchmark suite would be pretty cool.  Certainly it 
would be a big help to my group.  Another project for everyone's back 
burners, maybe :).

The best way to make benchmarks robust is to make them resemble actual 
applications as closely as possible.  I don't expect that it would be that 
much work to instrument some T2 applications with performance counters, 
but creating realistic load-generating environments may be time consuming.
