The TinyOS Alliance is happy to announce the beta2 release of TinyOS
2.0.
The release introduces several new platforms, systems, and features,
including:

   * New tutorials
   * Support for the IntelMote2, eyes, and tinynode platforms
   * Two multihop protocols, Collection and Disemination
   * A more complete resource arbitration framework, with integrated
peripheral power management
   * Non-volatile storage for the mica and telos platform families
   * Three general memory management components; Pool, Queue, and Cache
   * Increased sensor support
   * New, efficient I2C stacks for the mica family and IntelMote2
   * Additional documentation

The next planned release for TinyOS 2.0 is a non-beta release before
the end of the year. Until then, the TinyOS Working Groups encourage you
to see how TinyOS 2.0 enables simple yet robust applications through
a careful redesign of many interfaces, subsystems, and abstractions:

that they maintain themselves, whose information is more up-to-date.
