Hey, I paid attention to it too. :) I'll admit that I haven't for some
time, though (essentially since I shifted to 2.x).

I tried assigning bugs for a good year or so; it only helps if people
who are assigned bugs actually address them. The only time I found this
successful was when, over a five month period, I increased one bug's
importance level a notch every month. After five months (and when at
level 9), the person finally dealt with it.
