Er, I had no idea that there was a constant like this buried  
somewhere in a configuration file.

It looks like Kristin forgot to tag 1.2.2 with her July 6 merge of  
beta2-rel3 to the devel branch, and I continued the mistake in 1.2.3  
with my merge over to the trunk.
