Hmm. I re-read the introduction and I didn't feel like query is
emphasized that much. It seems that query is mentioned as one of the
possible uses of dissemination and the introduction focuses on
delivery of data to the network.

I think it is worth thinking about the issue you raised about other
types of query in a different context. The question is: is there an
interface for querying or searching in a TinyOS 2.x network? The
answer is no, so far...
