Hello all,
We would like to announce the formation of the new TinyOS ZigBee Working
Group.
The purpose of the TinyOS ZigBee WG is to (1) implement and maintain a
standard-compliant implementation of the ZigBee 2007-specification, (2)
build the ZigBee protocol stack upon the IEEE 802.15.4 protocol stack
developed by the TinyOS 802.15.4 WG, (3) provide
enhancements/variants/add-ons to the standard protocol in terms of QoS,
synchronization services, security, low-power routing, etc.
More details can be found on
http://tinyos.net/scoop/special/working_group_tinyos_zigbee and on our
wiki: http://www.hurray.isep.ipp.pt/activities/ZigBee_WG/
Please note that in parallel to the TinyOS ZigBee WG, a new TinyOS 802.15.4
Working Group has also been formed:
<http://tinyos.stanford.edu:8000/15.4_WG>
http://tinyos.stanford.edu:8000/15.4_WG
The prospective implementation of the IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee protocol stack
under TinyOS will be based on the merging of two existing baseline
implementations from ISEP-IPP (open-ZB.net) and TUB (TKN154).
Both Working Groups are looking for potential contributors that wish to
actively participate in implementation and validation of the protocols -
feel free to contact the WG chairs.
Anis (TinyOS ZigBee Working Group chair)
