[Tinyos-devel] New TinyOS platform TOSSDR for GNU Radio

Dear all,

TinyOS is running on a new platform termed TOSSDR. Basically, it is now 
possible to compile TinyOS programs to run on a host computer with the 
Physical layer provided by the GNU Radio SDR. 

The code resides in TinyOS 2.x contrib CVS:
http://tinyos.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/tinyos/tinyos-2.x-contrib/uob/tossdr/ 

Currently the only physical layer of GNU Radio, that is supported is UCLA's 
802.15.4 implementation.

Instructions for setting up tossdr are in:
tinyos-2.x-contrib/uob/tossdr/INSTALL

TOSSDR is derived from TOSSIM, and thus compilation for it is as easy as:
make micaz sdr

I tested TOSSDR using the TestAM application, which toggles the LEDs for 
transmitting and receiving packets. The mote was toggling both LEDs and on the 
computer with the SDR you could see the sent and received packets as well.
