[Tinyos-help] Problem with micaz on stargate

Hello,

I'm trying to establish a connection from one stargate board to  
another one via two micaz motes, which are plugged into the two  
stargates. I'm using "BaseStation" on the motes (TinyOS 2.x) and the  
SerialForwarder (in C) on the stargates. Unfortunately, it doesn't  
seem to be working.

Following tests along the way work/fail:

1) TestSerial from Lesson 4 of the TinyOS 2.x tutorial is working  
fine for both stargates, using the C-based SerialForwarder and the  
Listen tool either on the stargate directly or on another computer.

2) If both motes are programmed with BlinkToRadio and are NOT plugged  
into the stargates, they are working as expected.

3) When the same two motes are plugged into the stargate boards,  
BlinkToRadio seems to quit working, i.e., the LEDs on the motes stop  
blinking. (However, the LEDs on the stargate board are blinking  
accordingly - but then, they are doing this all of the time, even  
when the motes are not plugged in!).

4) When I try the variation with one mote running BlinkToRadio (by  
itself, not plugged into a stargate) and the other mote running  
BaseStation (plugged into a stargate with serial forwarder), I do NOT  
observe incoming messages. (However, this constellation works fine  
when using a MIB 520 programming board instead of the stargate).

In conclusion, it seems like the radio communication of the motes  
stops working once the motes are plugged into the stargate boards.

Does anyone have any suggestions about what I might be doing wrong?  
Any help or hints are greatly appreciated.
