[Tinyos-help] Basic i2c example for MSP430 or where to start a design

Hi,

after reading the tutorial I wanted to start writing some own code. I  
have a MSP board with a CAN controller connected to SPI. So I thought  
this would be a nice task for me.

I started to write some code but got quickly got lost in uart / spi /  
i2c / arbiter ... and other modules. My feeling is that I have to  
know everything about he available modules and nesC for this  
task ... :-(

I've two questions:

1) Is there a (simple) example how to use i2c on MSP430?

2) Where should I start designing. With the high level modules or the  
lower level ones? I like to start with basic stuff and add more and  
more code and modules. If possible always so that I have compilable  
code all the time ...
