[Tinyos-help] When init, start and stop are invoked?

Hello!

It is not clear to me when these functions are called. The  
StdControl.nc file, which define the interface composed of init,  
start and stop, does not say much. For the init() function it says:  
"Initialize the component and its subcomponents." When exactly a  
component is initialized ? When this component is transfered to the  
mica ?
When start is invoked ? When I switch on the power ?
