[Tinyos-help] Upgrading to TinyOS 2.x

While installing the tinyos-tools-1.2.2-1.cygwin.i386.rpm using following
command :

$ rpm -ivh --force tinyos-tools-1.2.2-1.cygwin.i386.rpm
Preparing...                ###########################################
[100%]
        package tinyos-tools-1.2.2-1 is intended for a cygwin operating
system

and I tried using   --ignoreos :

$ rpm -ivh --force --ignoreos tinyos-tools-1.2.2-1.cygwin.i386.rpm

which yet again gives the previous error, i.e.

The procedure entry point __getreent could not be located in the dynamic
link library cygwin1.dll
