[Tinyos-help] Can MoteIF receive unknown type message?

There's a Java application that receives all the messages: net.tinyos.tools.Listen

 Does anybody know whether the java tool (Trawler or Surge) can receive unknown type message?
 Both of them are using MoteIF to receive and send message, which requires you to register the message type you are caring about. But is there a way to receive all messages including unregistered message?
