[Tinyos-help] Report programming using Mote view ??

You should not use Blink to reprogram the nodes over the air since it
has no radio component built in.
In order to use XOtap, you should only use XMesh-enabled apps (such as
ones distributed with MoteView). Otherwise, once you reprogram your
nodes, you can no longer boot them into golden image since they have no
bootloader component wired in.

Giri

Subject: [Tinyos-help] Report programming using Mote view ??

Respected sir,
Thanks a lot for your previous mail, the pdf file
(04_Over_The_Air_Programming
.pdf) given by you is very useful. After seeing that pdf file only i
come to know that there is a new version of Mote view. Later I installed
Mote view 1.4 in my system, it has a feature of remote programming. I
have followed the steps given in the manual (MoteConfig-UserManual.pdf).
In the pdf file, page 24, Fig 5-7, they have selected the following
application "C:\Program
Files\Crossbow\MoteView\xmesh\mica2\903MHZ\MDA100\XMDA100CA_903_hp.exe"
for programming i.e sending the application over the air.

I want to send the blink application over the air
(C:\tinyos\cygwin\opt\tinyos-1.x\apps\Blink\build\mica2\main.exe). When
i select this application, i got the following message "The selected
firm ware is not supported"
So could you please mail me how to send Blink application over the air
to the remote motes using Mote View 1.4.
Do i have to change the coding of Blink for sending "main.exe" file over
the air using Mote view ??

Thanks in advance.
