[Tinyos-help] bit error rates and simulation time

Hi All

Is there any relationship between bit error rates and simulation time of TOSSIM. As i was trying to simulate a scenario in which node A send messages to node B with bit error rate (BER) 0.0 (i covert bit error rate in *.nss file) and simulate for 300 sec (using -t=300 on command line) packets were sent and received. Than I increase BER to 0.02 -0.03 and simulate for 300 sec but not a single packet was sent, so i increased sim time to 1000 sec, by this only nodes having 0.02 BER send some messages ie send() method is called,  for 0.03 BER no messages sent. Can someone explain this behavior. 

I experience the same with scaling option in LossyBuilder, so with scale factor 15, 20, 25 same thing happened.
