[Tinyos-help] MoteView is not working.

Hi,
 
I'm trying to get MoteView to sample data from a XMTS310 sensor board. I am working with the Mica2 platform. I am able to program the base mote with the base program with an id of 0. I am able to program another node with an id of 1 using the XMTS_310_433_hp image. I then connect to the database, but don't really know for sure if I am connected to it. There's no confirmation screen of any kind for that. I then try to log the data to the PC. It just hangs at the line "Opening serial device: /dev/ttyS0 @ 57600". I have no idea whether it has actually connected or not. I am able to program the motes successfully but why can't I do this? Any ideas?
