[Tinyos-help] MoteView is not working.

Which version of MoteView are you using?
Do you get heartbeat messages? If not that means there is communication
problem between your PC and the MIB board.
Few things to check:
- Is the SW2 switch on your MIB510 in off position?
- Are you using COM1 port?
- Is your base Mote programmed with the same RF channel, group ID as
that of the remote Mote?

Giri

Subject: [Tinyos-help] MoteView is not working.

Hi,

I'm trying to get MoteView to sample data from a XMTS310 sensor board. I
am working with the Mica2 platform. I am able to program the base mote
with the base program with an id of 0. I am able to program another node
with an id of 1 using the XMTS_310_433_hp image. I then connect to the
database, but don't really know for sure if I am connected to it.
There's no confirmation screen of any kind for that. I then try to log
the data to the PC. It just hangs at the line "Opening serial device:
/dev/ttyS0 @ 57600". I have no idea whether it has actually connected or
not. I am able to program the motes successfully but why can't I do
this? Any ideas?

Thanks.
