[Tinyos-help] Line Powering motes

Hi Nagaraj,

It is possible to power MICAz Motes externally via 2-pin Molex connector
(white connector at J4). The Motes can accept 2.7V-3.3V and hence your
5% error margin should be fine. However, it is not possible to make the
Mote automatically switch to battery power without additional circuitry.

I hope that helps,
Giri

Subject: [Tinyos-help] Line Powering motes

Hi,
Is it possible to Line Power the motes(CrossBow Micaz motes) with the
help of adapters? Is it possible to configure them in such a way that
when there is power available on the line, the motes can draw power from
them and when there is no power available, the motes draw power from the
batteries?please let me know.I have read in the manuals that it requires
3v of power.Considering that most of the adapters have an error range of
5%, will it be safe to line power the motes using the 3 volt adapters?

Thanks,
Nagaraj
