[Tinyos-help] a problem of minthop route protocol in tinyviz

I've implemented an application in tinyviz,using the minthop route protocol.But I've found something confusing.
  
I choose "empirical" in the Radio Modle plugin. As the network initializes,every node broadcast route_msg to estimate link quality of its neighbours until it gets enough imformation to determain which node is the best to be its parent(the next node to forward the data_msg).
  
The problem is that a node will select a parent which the link quality betweent the two nodes is extremely bad! As I click the node on the left graph,I see the connecting quality to the parent is low. I don't know why the minthop route protocol will choose such a node as its parent.
  
Is there something wrong with the minthop route protocol?Can anybody tell me what's wrong with this simulation?
