[Tinyos-help] TOSSIM Python RPM? silly question

Sorry to ask a silly question but what should I be doing to update/install
Python (I think I need a "python devel rpm") such that TOSSIM has it to work
from? I'm not sure where to go looking for the correct devel package?

TinyOS 2.0.2
MicaZ
python version returns 2.3.4

I followed the troubleshooter in
http://www.tinyos.net/tinyos-2.x/doc/html/tutorial/lesson11.html#appendix 
I have no libpython#.#.so in the cygwin directories...
