[Tinyos-help] xubunTOS virtual machine in Ubuntu 7.10

Hi!
I've been trying to install Kevin Klues' XubunTOS' VMware approach in Ubuntu
7.10 with unsatisfactory results...
does any one have been able to do it?
It seems that the ubuntu's canonical repository is not ready for
Ubuntu 7.10(Gutsy Gibbon) and therefore it is not possible to obtain
VMware using
Kevin's tutorial.
Any ideas?
