[Tinyos-help] compiling issues

Hi,
I have just purchased a new laptop with Windows XP.  I have dowloaded the
TinyOS software and am running into problems when I try to compile the Blink
program.  I get the following message:

 Couldn't execute avr-gcc
make: *** [exe0] Error 2

I am new to TinyOS and am not familiar with the error message.  Can anyone
help me out on what I need to do to fix this issue?
