XMesh has its own OTAP protocol called XOtap, which is different from
Deluge commands.
You can find more details in section 10.2 of the XMesh users manual
below.

Subject: [Tinyos-help] Deluge ping works with XMesh?

On a recent (Sep. 15th) CVS download of TinyOS 1.x, I used Deluge to
inject an XMesh image (tinyos-1.x/contrib/xbow/apps/XMesh/XMTS420) onto
MicaZ motes. Inject and reboot worked fine, but I can't ping the sink
node anymore. I used the options below in the Makefile to get the
wirings for Deluge right. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

# TBS: add preprocessor flag(s) to enable Deluge
# - FEATURE_DELUGE must be set to 1 to automatically create the
# proper wirings (macros in appFeatures.h)
# - XMesh uses GenericCommPromiscuous, hence the second option is
# required
PFLAGS += -DFEATURE_DELUGE=1
PFLAGS += -DDELUGE_GENERIC_COMM_PROMISCUOUS -DDELUGE_LEDS

Thank you for your time!

Tim

P.S. Thank god (or Jon) for GoldenImage :)
