Fw: [Tinyos-help] serialforwarder

Hello all,

I found that the packets over TCP/IP are normal HDLC packets, without any 
packing, or change...so sorry for the mails up to here.
It would be great if such info is added to the description of 
SerialForwarder.
Because I didn't find any information yesterday, I decided to open socket 
and see what is received.
After few tests and applying correct UART settings, I am having good data 
stream with HDLC packets.

Hello Shankar

Thank you for the link. But the link that you send me is about the protocol 
which is used let say between Listener and SerialForwarder. I am looking to 
replace SerialForwarder with different application. So I need the protocol 
between the BaseStation mote and the SerialForwarder, when a tcp connection 
is used. The outgoing protocol after this app is very specific to a GPRS 
module we use, so I am not sure if it will be of any use to you.

Hello Hristo,

The serial forwarder protocol is here:

I am also trying to write a java app that can connect to serial forwarder 
and print the received values to a file. Though I am acquainted with socket 
programming in Java, I am not able to understand how to use the serial 
forwarder's protocol. I would be greatful if you can show me your java code.

Now I need to write my own app that will connect to tcp socket, so just link 
to protocol info is enough for me.
