Dear all,

I'm trying to measure the batteries life time when using a TmoteSky (telosb). I

would like to know whether ours results are acceptable.

I used a modification of the Oscilloscope Application from TinyOS-1.x so that we

only measure Temperature, according to the following characteristics:

Send *1 msg* every 10 reading read (~1.2 sec);

each *msg *has *10* temperature *readings*;
*
Sampling interval* 100 ms;

*Packet length:* 33bytes;
*No power management *was implemented;

Using tmotesky's* default transmission power* (we suppose its using
the Maximum);
Using 2 AA Alkaline batteries (Cbatt 2450 mAh).

As Base Station I have another TmoteSky using the TOSBase application.
I am using SerialForwarder in order to count the Packets Read.

*environment's temperature* was +- 25 Celsius.

According to my test I had the following results:

*Battery Life time: *1h 40min
*Receive packets:* 4931

Somebody knows what are the parameters used for people who have
reached measure battery lifetime

 around 3 and 10 days? Somebody knows what is the maximum battery
lifetime using oscope without low power management?

Thank you very much,

Lea
