You could give this demo app in the t2 contrib repository a try:
/tinyos-2.x-contrib/ethz/snpk/apps/Harvester/
it runs on tmotes (telosb) and tinyos-2.x and uses the collection tree
protocol for routing packets to the sink(s) and has a modified LPL mac
layer protocol.
