[Tinyos-help] Plz help!!

hello all,
     I'm an Engineering student. I have taken up a project in wireless communication. And need to use "Motes Micaz" transceiver (with in-built IEEE802.11b protocol) for data transfer. The programming of the motes is to be done using NesC progrmming in tinyOS. I'm very new to this and have absolutely no idea about the sensor and the programming. Can anyone help me with this:
 
* The specification says Motes Micaz supports UART interfaces. Is it Ok if we interface it with a PIC Microcontroller? or does it support only ATMega128L?
The input of the motes is a tendigit number from a keypad and i have to make the motes transmit this data in wireless to the motes in the reception side which is to be connected to a PC.
