[Tinyos-help] About mica2 ADC internal voltage reference

I am working with crossbow motes (mica2) and  I want to use the internal voltage reference of the ADC, but as I have seen, this it is only possible by cutting the vsnsr of the AREF (int he microcontroller) and decoupling it by an capacitor, so my question is, is there another possibility to do this without making hardware changes in the microcontroller board?
