Thanks for your answer Janos! The libusb IS INSTALLED (i am using ubuntu
8.04)! I already have worked with the RZ200 before i tried using TinyOs.
Just installed the avrdude package and used the *-P usb *option -
everything worked fine. I recognized that there are two different
avrdude packages, the one delivered with tinyos (*avrdude-tinyos*) and
the "original" one (*avrdude*), am i right? So i decided to install the
"original" one again for testing purpose, resulting in deinstallation of
the avrdude-tinyos package due to package conflicts. And suddenly i had
access to the AVRISP mkii again. When i am using avrdude-tinyos it still
says: "avrdude compiled without usb support" and the console suddenly
gives strange characters. I am really despaired, so do you have any
other ideas? Thanksalot.
Best regards
Jürgen

> Regarding programming using the avarisp mkII: In order to compile avrdude with usb support, you'll need libusb. Once you have libusb installed, avrdude's configure script will find it and will allow you to build avrdude with usb support.
