[Tinyos-help] Building RPM-Packages for TinyOS toolchain

Hello,
I need some help, I need a newer avr-gcc with support for the ATmega1284P. The used compiler is from 2006 and realy old.
My idea is to build a new avr-gcc.rpm package but I haven't found any informations in the wiki how to build a package for the tinyos-toolchain.
Can anybody give me some informations?
How do I build a rpm package? What has to be changed on the real avr-gcc sourcecode to run with the tinyos-toolchain?
Or is their anybody using a newer avr-gcc in cygwin?
