Both MICAz and IRIS use 802.15.4 compliant radio which use DSSS communication and O-QPSK modulation.

The whip antennas included with Motes are ¼ wave monopole and for all practical purposes have 0dBi gain.

Subject: [Tinyos-help] About IRIS and MicaZ wireless signal

Hi Everyone

I want to know the wireless communication signal modulation of both IRIS and MicaZ motes, also what's the antenna gain of those two kinds of motes' original antenna?

Thanks!

Zhen Li
