[Tinyos-help] Questions regarding CRC

I have a few questions as to how errors are managed in TinyOS 2.x

First off, how does a node correct an error if it finds one in the CRC? Does it send a message back requesting a resend, and if so at what time intervals? 

I just wanted a basic outline of the idea if anyone can provide that.
