Hi ,
Am I right in thinking that the CLASSPATH variable is of
consequence only if I'll be plugging motes to my computer. If so, I can
worry about that later. Currently, I'll be working in the TOSSIM framework.
However, I'm still bothered about the other errors. I performed *rpm -qa *and
it displayed the following packages:
avarice-2.0.20030825cvs-1w.cygwin.i386.rpm<http://webs.cs.berkeley.edu/tos/dist-1.1.0/tools/windows/avarice-2.0.20030825cvs-1w.cygwin.i386.rpm>
avr-binutils-2.13.2.1-1w.cygwin.i386.rpm<http://webs.cs.berkeley.edu/tos/dist-1.1.0/tools/windows/avr-binutils-2.13.2.1-1w.cygwin.i386.rpm>
avr-gcc-3.3tinyos-1w.cygwin.i386.rpm<http://webs.cs.berkeley.edu/tos/dist-1.1.0/tools/windows/avr-gcc-3.3tinyos-1w.cygwin.i386.rpm>
avr-insight-pre6.0cvs.tinyos-1w.cygwin.i386.rpm<http://webs.cs.berkeley.edu/tos/dist-1.1.0/tools/windows/avr-insight-pre6.0cvs.tinyos-1w.cygwin.i386.rpm>
avr-libc-20030512cvs-1w.cygwin.i386.rpm<http://webs.cs.berkeley.edu/tos/dist-1.1.0/tools/windows/avr-libc-20030512cvs-1w.cygwin.i386.rpm>
nesc-1.1-1w.cygwin.i386.rpm<http://webs.cs.berkeley.edu/tos/dist-1.1.0/tinyos/windows/nesc-1.1-1w.cygwin.i386.rpm>
tinyos-tools-1.1.0-1.cygwin.i386.rpm<http://webs.cs.berkeley.edu/tos/dist-1.1.0/tinyos/windows/tinyos-tools-1.1.0-1.cygwin.i386.rpm>
tinyos-1.1.15Dec2005cvs-1.cygwin.noarch.rpm<http://webs.cs.berkeley.edu/tos/dist-1.1.0/tinyos/windows/tinyos-1.1.15Dec2005cvs-1.cygwin.noarch.rpm>
Now the errors imply that they are not able to detect
nesc,avr-binutils,avr-gcc (maybe even more). I think the problem is because
I hadn't performed a clean uninstall of cygwin. Therefore, I have two cygwin
directories: *C:\cygwin and C:\Program Files\cygwin
*The latter is the more recent one. In my Path variable in system variables,
I have set C:\Program Files\cygwin\bin before C:\cygwin\bin. But the errors
persist. Could someone tell me that if nesc, etc are properly installed what
is the name of the corresponding executable files?
As Michael pointed out, PATH variable is used by the bash shell to find
executable programs. So should I install the packages again? How do I ensure
that they end up in the correct directory since when I tried:
*rpm --ignoreos -ivh --prefix /cygdrive/c/Program \ Files/cygwin/bin
nesc-1.1-1w.cygwin.i386.rpm
*it said that package nesc is not relocatable. Is performing a clean
uninstall and installing everything again the only solution?
Thanks and regards,
Bharat Naik.
