[Tinyos-help] TinyOS-1.x installation problem in Ubuntu Gutsy

Why are you using Gutsy.  That is getting quite dated.
deb http://tinyos.stanford.edu/tinyos/dists/ubuntu hardy main

points at 8.04/8.10 packages that you can install directly using apt-get or
friends.


And by the way to force the installation you are trying to do you can use
one of the
--force switched to dpkg.  I think --force-overwrite will do the trick.

And can I ask why you are using tinyos 1.x rather than 2.1?
