[Tinyos-help] MTS300 Sensor board - Magnetic Sensor ?

Hi,

I just realized that under  "/opt/tinyos-2.1.0/tos/sensorboards/mts300/"
, there are components for magnetic sensor.

However, in "MTS/MDA Sensor Board Users Manual" document, it says that
only MTS310 sensor board has magnetic sensor on it.

Do  those  components (related to magnetic sensor) works for MTS310
sensor board also? Could anyone help me with that?

Also, related to magnetic sensor on MTS310 (HMC1002);

What is the physical range for which this sensor senses any magnetic
field (min-max meters/inches under certain magnetic field strength) ?
