[Tinyos-help] Creating a new chip

Dear All,

I am working on Porting TinyOS to a custom sensor board.
Thanks again to those who replied to my previous mail about where to start.
I have read through the TEP 131, and Tutorial 10, and now have
an idea how to develop a new platform.

At this stage, I am just trying to get the MCU working with TinyOS
and compile and run the Blink app for my platform.

However, the sensor board uses the MSP430F2274 MCU. I can compile and run
code on the MSP430x2274 chip with MSP430-gcc without problems, however the
2274 arch is not supported by -mmcu parameter.

Will I have to create a new chip directory in /tos/chip ? And if so,
are there any resources you can recommend for information on creating
new chip/drivers.

Also, of course the physical wiring of the MCU differs to that of prebuilt motes.
Am I right in assuming that the physical wiring of the pins can be addressed
simply in the hardware.h header file for my platform?

Thanks for your help
Anthony
