Well some form needs to be around. The complaint with the 1.x is
version is that the timing is approximate, and that on the mica, the
possibility of variable clock rates confuses it even further. The
2.x/msp430 fix is to use a microsecond hardware timer. But that
doesn't particularly solve the problem for micas...
Beyond that, knowing the clock rate is necessary for other purposes on
the atmega128 (baud rates, adc clock divider, probably at least one
other I haven't noticed). So maybe we should have more discussion on
this issue.
