Based on the Telos design, we have recently designed and manufactured a
new TinyOS based hardware platform, called BSN node, which mainly
consists of a TI MSP 430 processor and a CC2420 RF module.
The BSN node is targeted for body sensor network applications, such as
ambulatory monitoring of patients, context awareness, human activity
monitoring, etc. As such, the size of node is only 26mmx26mm. In
addition, to aid the development for different applications, a stackable
design has been adopted where boards with different sensors can be
plugged onto the node, and a range of accessory and sensors boards have
also been developed.
