Yes, you should install the update over 1.1.1

The script assumes that postgress is stopped, so you might want to stop
postgress and then run the scripts.

TASK is presently not supported by Crossbow.

Subject: Re: [Tinyos] install tinyos 1.1.7: createdb-task fails

I've got the latest postgres installed and running as a server. I've
had tinyOS1.1.0 for some time, now install 1.1.10 to get new Crossbow
moteview. The Moteview install fails in createdb-task,
# $Id: createdb-task,v 1.5 2004/10/11 16:03:23 mturon Exp $

It seems I'm missing "task/tasksvr" in tools/java/net/tinyos. I have
this nasty feeling I was supposed to install 1.1.10 over 1.1.1, since
there are over a thousand files not in 1.1.10 that were in 1.1.0. Is
that right?

Also that script complains
pg_ctl: Another postmaster may be running. Trying to start postmaster
anyway.
pg_ctl: cannot start postmaster
Examine the log output.

Should I not have postgre installed and running as a service? Is it
supposed to be running as user 'tele'? Which log output am I supposed
to examine?

It's not completely clear to me that I'm barking up the right tree.
Should I take these problems to Crossbow?

Thank you for your kind assistance,
Robert Williams
