[Tinyos] xbow classroom kit

Hi,

I am thinking about purchasing the classroom kit from xbow, for my teaching
and research. Can some one share your experience with the kit?

As for the motes, they have two choices: MicaZ and Iris. Which one to buy?
Is there much difference except Iris has better radio range, memory, and
sleeping power management? How to  dealt with the fact that  Iris  is not
compatible with TOSSIM  (correct me if I am wrong)?
