[Tinyos] Three questions about B-MAC

B-MAC is the default MAC in TinyOS. I have three questions about B-MAC:

   1. It seems that all the sensor nodes, using B-MAC,  in the network have
   to be set with a same LPL check interval, though different duty cycling is
   okay. Is that right?
   2. I wonder to know whether sensor nodes, using B-MAC, with different LPL
   check intervals can communicate with each other? and how?
   3. Are there any other MAC protocols, which rely on LPL and can work fine
   with different LPL check intervals?
